Bello, who represents the Mashi/Dutsi Federal Constituency of Katsina State, was kidnapped in Kaduna.

His release was confirmed by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina, Shittu Shittu.

“The abductors asked that the member’s driver should take the money to a designated place and just between 15 and 20 minutes later, Bello was released,” Shittu told Daily Trust.

Shittu said further that the ransom was paid following a demand for the stated sum by the kidnappers.
