Suspected kidnappers abduct pastor, 4 others

A pastor and four other individuals have been kidnapped in Ekiti days after the INEC secretary was kidnapped.

Local sources told a correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ado Ekiti that the victims included one Pastor Ojo, his driver, Jimoh and three others.

They were said to be travelling in two vehicles on Ise Ekiti road in Ise/Orun Local Government Area of the state when they were abducted.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Alberto Adeyemi, confirmed the incident.

He said that two of the victims had been released, and the police were on the trail of the hoodlums to rescue the remaining three persons.

Adeyemi urged residents to help the police with useful information to track down criminals in the state.

NAN reports that kidnappers on Friday night released the state Administrative Secretary of INEC, Dr Muslim Omoleke, who was abducted in Iwaraja, Osun State.(NAN)
