Nedelcu is said to have been kidnapped by a group of armed men on Monday, October 10, at Railway Village in the Owa Oyibo area of Agbor, Delta State, according to The Sun.

The incident has been confirmed by the Romanian Ambassador to Nigeria, Gheorghe Predescu.

Predescu further urged the Federal Government, Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and other security agencies to do everything possible to rescue Nedelcu.

The incident comes after the highly publicized abduction of the wife of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele.
