Ibrahim Lamorde-EFCC Chairman.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) boss, Ibrahim Lamorde, has been named as one of the beneficiaries of the past administration's parting gift.

According to Connect Nigeria, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde is among the many top government functionaries who were allocated choice properties in Abuja and Lagos, as a parting gift by the former administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.

Sun Newspapers also disclosed that ministers and close aides of Goodluck Jonathan benefited from the sharing of 500 Federal Government houses located in highbrow areas.

Reports say that the allocation was not done in the names of the beneficiaries, but in the name of fictitious companies and fronts.

The EFCC boss, Ibrahim Lamorde’s property is said to be situated on Bourdillion Road, Ikoyi.

This information was purportedly revealed by a source who is a high ranking officer in the Secretary to the Government of the Federation’s office.

Speaking with Saturday Sun, the source said that most of the houses are now abandoned for fear of the Buhari administration.

Adding that  “the owners are obviously looking for private sec¬tor individuals that can buy them as many of them didn’t really get the allocations to live in the houses, they only want to sell them off and make profit.”
