According to Daily Post he said “In our state, we have a brand new Oba, in the person of Oba Ewaure II, and a brand new leadership. We believe that with this programme, Showers of Blessing, God’s hand is in Edo, and as a state we would want to tap from the anointing.

“Though we have recession in the country now, we believe it will end. We want you to pray for the state and the country so that the recession will end.”

Obaseki also said “We appreciate your prayers during the last governorship election in the state. It is the first time in the history of the state that election was conducted peacefully without any recorded incidence of violence.

“We will continue to rely on your prayers and counsel.”
