According to a report by TheCable, Faridah, who is well referred to as Kah-Lo, joined Ayo ‘Wizkid’ Balogun, as the fourth Nigerian to be nominated for the Grammy awards.

Wizkid and Kah- are the two Nigerians nominated for the 2017 Grammy Awards.

Kah-Lo's dad is one of the chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state, who has been in active politics for more than a decade.

The report further revealed that Kah-Lo is an alumna of Vivian Fowler Memorial College for girls as well as Hofstra Journalism in the United States of America.

While Wizkid was nominated for his contribution and co-production to Drake's album for Album of the year, Kah-Lo was nominated in the Best Dance Recording category for her contribution to Henry Riton's ‘Rinse & Repeat’.

Unknown to many, ‘Rinse & Repeat’ has been streamed five million times on Spotify and played 1.5 million times on YouTube less than a month after its release.
