President sympathises with victims of Anambra church attack

The Presidency on Wednesday, August 9, said Buhari wrote a letter to Obiano, expressing his condolence over the church attack in Ozubulu area of the state.

In a statement issued by  Garba Shehu, the President's spokesman, Buhari described the incident as a "shocking and cowardly attack on worshippers."

"The nation is one at deploring this monstrous crime.

"Please, convey to the families and friends of those killed, my condolences for this utterly dastardly crime.

"Please, also convey my considerations and sympathies to the people of Ekwusigo Local Government Area for this tragic attack," the President wrote.

Shehu said Buhari also condoled with Alhaji Sule Lamido,  a former Governor of Jigawa State, over the death of his daughter.
