President returns to Abuja after Jordan trip

The president has returned to Abuja after a 2-day counter-terrorism summit in Jordan.

The president's return was announced by his Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, on his Twitter account , on Monday, December 4, 2017.

He posted, "President Muhammadu @MBuhari has this afternoon, returned to Abuja from Aqaba, Jordan where he attended Counter Terrorism Summit and held a bilateral meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan."

The summit took place in the Jordanian port city of Aqaba between December 2 and December 3, and was hosted by King Abdullah II of Jordan.

The president's delegation to the summit included Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola; Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello; Niger State governor, Abubakar Bello;  Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan Ali; Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu; Minister of Foreign Affairs; Geoffrey Onyeama; National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; and the Acting Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Mohammed Dawuda.
