President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mrs Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

Mrs Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita replaces former occupant, Danladi Kifasi who was sacked on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.

No reason was given for the removal of Kifasi, who was due to retire on January, 1, 2016.
Before her appointment, Oyo-Ita was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
