President has failed to deliver anything significant - Ezekwesili

She advised President Buhari to use the remaining time left of his tenure to commit to delivering significantly.

The former minister took to her Twitter account, on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, to decry administration's failure to deliver on the mandate it promised the Nigerian people.

She also used the administration's failure to condemn the system of governance in Nigeria which she says is merely a ploy to go through election cycles without delivering tangible results.

While advising President Buhari to use the remaining time left on his tenure to commit to delivering significantly for the country, she also advised Nigerians to be more aware of their roles and make politicians accountable.

She posted, "It just struck me that President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo's Federal Government has effectively barely one year left to deliver on their mandate. Wow. Hmm.

"I wonder if this administration realizes how short a time it has left? When will its big ticket items (if any) be delivered to citizens? The counsel, 'You must hit the ground running' is most relevant for new administrations. Once missed, it becomes too hard to catch up.

"I detest the fact that in having so far failed to deliver anything significant, the country is merely going from election to election. Citizens have to start making it harder for our politicians to merely take us from one election cycle to another with no results delivered.

"One can only wish this Federal Government that it maximises 2018 and delivers tangible governance results. That much is what it owes long-suffering Citizens."

Dr. Ezekwesili has grown to become one of the most vocal voices against the president's brand of leadership, recently referring to his October 1 speech as 'divisive and uninspiring'.
