52 terrorists arrested in Borno

Nigerian troops are said to have apprehended 52 members of the Boko Haram sect in Biu, Borno state

According to reports, 52 members of terrorist sect, Boko Haram have been arrested by Nigerian troops.

Military sources reportedly disclosed to Sahara Reporters that the insurgents were arrested between yesterday, September 23 and today, September 24 in Biu, Borno state.

The Boko Haram members were reportedly apprehended after a truck driver they had forced to carry them informed security agents at a checkpoint of the situation.

A source reportedly said:

“We arrested over 50 members of the Islamic sect following tips we got from the driver as well as locals. I can tell you they are cooperating and giving us useful information,”

This latest victory comes after Nigerian troops succeeded in chasing the terrorists out of Konduga, also in Borno.
