Court remands ex- Governor in prison custody

According to a report by Premium Times, Justice Mohammed Mayaki, who presided over the case brought forward by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, gave the ruling on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.

Justice Mayaki was also reported to have ordered that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2015 election, Umar Nasko, also be remanded in prison.

The two politicians were on Tuesday docked by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a six-count charge bordering on fraud.
