The call was made by the APC Deputy National Secretary, Mr. Ngofa Oji, today, March 10, at a media chat. He said the Police IG has proven inefficient in the delivery of his duties.
He said Arase did not respond or act on all the petitions written to him by the APC.
"These matters were reported and it shouldn’t have gotten to the point where we are now if the institutions charged with the responsibility to take care of these things are doing their work.
“We would not have gotten to the point where we are, where people are beginning to wonder if actually we have an APC government and APC members are targeted in Rivers State are being killed the way they are doing,” he lamented.
The party's acting National Chairman and former governor of Ekiti State, had also yesterday, March 9, March 9, blamed the police and other security agencies for the recent killings in the state, disclosing that over 30 members of the APC were killed in the violence.
