Debut Android One smartphone sells out 5,000 units in first 20 minutes

Android One is off to a blazing start. The Infinix Hot 2, the Android One pioneering device has been flying of the shelves, literally.

According to a report by Techsuplex, the initial launch stock which was available on Jumia sold out on the first day, with the first 5,000 devices already sold in the first twenty minutes and all the other “restocks” also running out “within minutes” of availability.

The report also alludes that the choice between stock android with the promise of updates and all the other android skins available on competing devices which don’t promise any updates is a no brainer.
