According to Daily Trust, this traffic violation resulted in the death of a Syrian national.
At the court, the prosecutor, A.O Urom, read out the lawyer's two count-charge, which involved causing death by dangerous driving and careless and inconsiderate driving under sections 27 and 29 of the Road Traffic Acts (R.T.A).
Urom told the court that the accused, Mrs. Victoria Christopher of National Boundary Commission Abuja, a driver of a Toyota Matrix with the registration number BN 227 RSH car, allegedly knocked down one Somar Tin Aishaiba, a Syria national on a power bike.
The prosecutor said the Syrian sustained a head injury, which resulted in his death, five days later, despite attempts to attend to him at the Maitama General Hospital and National Hospital, Abuja.
The accused pleaded not guilty to both charges.
