There will be hard times- While the real estate sector in Nigeria is getting better, this does not mean things will be good every time. As a real estate agent, you have to learn to take the good times with the hard times. New York City agent, Gretchen de Chellis, had more to say about this in a recent interview. “People have this image that being an agent is easy, that all you have to do is show apartments. This is an undervalued job for all the work that goes into it! And real estate is a really fickle industry.”

Be flexible- The real estate business does not have the usual “Monday-Friday, 8-5” routine, so you have to be flexible. This implies being considerate of the needs of your clients.
