President to discuss housing issues in Habitat III conference

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to discuss housing issues with Ministers for Housing and Urban Development.

Set to hold in Quito, Ecuador, in October this year, the President will discuss housing challenges associated with urbanization.

With studies showing that  Africa is urbanizing with a 4.5% rate, it only makes sense that there is an increase in the demand for houses.

The Guardian reports that the conference will be hosted by the Minister for Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, with the UN Under-Secretary-General and UN-Habitat Executive Director, Dr. Joan Clos; Executive Director, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Dr. Babatunde Osotimehin; and others in attendance.
