Man offers N500 bribe to FRSC marshal, faces trial in mobile court

An unlucky man tried to bribe a marshal, got arrested and convicted.

A motorist offered N500 to a Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) marshal.

He got arrested and tried before a Mobile Court at the Sagamu Unit Command.

The magistrate found him guilty and convicted him.

Last year, a similar case occurred in Benin.

The motorist, Ayo Okundaye, also attempted to offer a N500 bribe to a FRSC marshal.

He was arrested and tried before a mobile court, where the magistrate, Mr Igbinosa, found him guilty.

"I, however, commend you for admitting guilt, but I must warn you to desist from the act and ensure that you always go through appropriate quarters to acquire your vehicle particulars and driver’s licence in future.’’
