NLNG pays $21bn to Joint Ventures feed gas suppliers

The NLNG also added that 55 to 60 percent of the funds were remitted into the Federation Account via its shareholding in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

The Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has reportedly spent over $21 billion as payment to Joint Ventures feed gas suppliers from commencement till date.

The details were contained in the company’s publication titled “Nigeria LNG Limited: Facts and figures on NLNG 2015.”

NLNG said further that it has utilised gas that would have otherwise been flared, and in effect contributed to the country’s income while also helping to protect the environment.

According to the report, the company has paid dividends of almost $30 billion, out of which 49 percent went into the Federation Account through the NNPC.
