What are the most common Honda car problems?

1. Vibration when braking: It is believed that warped front brake rotors is the major cause of this Honda car problem. It can be rattling, shaking or a rubbing kind of sensation. In some cases, the Honda car rotors can be machined as a fix. If too thin, the rotors will have to require replacement. Sadly, Honda cars with over 98,000 mileage are likely to have this issues.

2. Oil and coolant leaks: Certain models of Honda car can leak oil externally or allow coolant into the combustion chamber due to a faulty head gasket. In other to correct this Honda car problem, The head gasket should be replaced.

3. Transmission failure: Usually over 70,000 miles, transmission spillage, poor shifting, skipping, or failure may occur in some Honda cars. And the repair to this problem might require a transmission overhaul or complete replacement.

4. Power door lock failure: This Honda car problem is one problem that can be very very frustrating because the power door lock usually activates on their own. And this happens with Honda cars that travel over 105,000 miles. Also, the Honda car remote door lock control will refuse to function properly.

1.  Sarah of Farmville, VA on Feb. 28, 2017

Purchased a new Honda HRV. Vehicle continuously would not start for no reason leading me stranded. Vehicle had to be towed to the dealership multiple times and all they could tell me "was it had to happen with them". Battery was never the issue. Honda replaced the battery and still same issue over and over again. Had to trade the car with less than 32,000 miles on it as I could not get the issue resolved and car was nothing but a nightmare with this issue.

2. Steven of Naugatuck, CT on Feb. 12, 2017

Don't buy a Honda Pilot. I have a 2015 it was a certified vehicle that had 29k on it. I had a vibration and after several attempts to fix it. The dealer replaced the driveshaft. It did help but now when the temps are below 35 degrees it shakes and vibrates till it gets warm. I've had a lot of Honda and this is the first one with problems. The dealer has been great and it's not their fault I have a lemon. Honda is aware of the problems with these vehicles and they need to step up and fix them. I'm going to fight this, but if they don't find a fix I'm done with Honda and I will warn others about the problems with the Pilot.
