Anambra Sector Commander blames multiple accident, involving 6 injured people, on brake failure

According to the Anambra Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mr Sunday Ajayi, the accident was as a result of brake malfunction of the petrol tanker.

"The accident was caused by a petrol tanker carrying product to Enugu, it involved five other vehicles and a motorcycle. Six persons were injured and they have been rescued and taken to a private hospital, no body died as at the time of rescue."

Mr Festus Uyanna, an eyewitness said the accident scene was a regular accident spot.

He pleaded with the Federal Government to fix the Agu-Awka portion of Enugu-Awka- Onitsha expressway, adding that this would reduce accidents.
