Automaker launches new technology called Intelligent Speed Limiter [VIDEO]

Ford has released a new technology called Intelligent Speed Limiter.

Intelligent Speed Limiter

As the name implies, this technology prevents drivers from over speeding.

This is done with help from street cameras and navigation systems.

Stefan Kappes, the active safety supervisor for Ford of Europe says this system "can remove one of the stresses of driving, helping ensure customers remain within the legal speed limit.”

According to him, this system is very important and necessary.

"Drivers are not always conscious of speeding, and sometimes only become aware they were going too fast when they see the flash of the camera, receive a fine in the mail or are pulled over by law enforcement," he said.

This system is available to the Edge SUV, S-Max and Galaxy.
