6-months old baby survives disaster in Nairobi

A six months old baby has been rescued, 80 hours after, from a collapsed building in Nairobi, Kenya.

According to the Red Cross in Kenya, the baby, Dealeryn Wasike, survived for four days (80 hours), after the incident.

“She appeared dehydrated and with no visible injuries," an official of the society, Anthony Mwangi, said.

The six-month old was taken out of the rubble around 4 AM East African time, with the help of a tracking service, planted on the site of the collapsed building.

Afterwards, she was reunited with her Ralson Wasike.

This miraculous rescue has strengthen the belief that there might be more bodies underneath all the rubble of the collapsed building in Nairobi’s Huruma Estate.

Currently, the death toll is at 23.
