Property company partners with FMBN on housing projects

Bohemian Estate Limited is set to construct 10,000 housing units in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

According to the a director of the firm, Mr. Bala Kaoje, this housing project will be done with the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN).

Speaking with the management of FMBN and a delegation from Czech Export Bank, the director said the construction would be done with an alternative technology called ABS.

This technology utilises rice straw to produce roofing and ceilings.

“The government is paying much attention to the production of rice and we need to find ways to add value to our farmers so that we don’t waste the rice straw.

It’s the same thing with sand-filled blocks and it can last for 20 to 50 years without having much problems rather than minor maintenance", he said.

This project will be done in Gwagwalada, Abuja.
