Chrissy expanded on her caption in the comments: "Doctors cant find an irregular or odd pap unless you get them regularly enough to show them a difference in paps!! Please get it done if you have the luxury to (this f*cking country)."
Many of Chrissy's Instagram followers were supportive of her post, but some drama happened in the comments.
One fan commented, "My gynos office always says no photos," which led to another person commenting, "probably best because it's really unnecessary to make a point."
And Chrissy stepped in with some thoughts of her own on the exchange. "this app works with the posting of photos to make points. maybe try twitter," she clapped back.
Still, the vast majority o f her followers, including some doctors, were in full support of Chrissy's pic.
"Thanks for spreading such an important public health message! The impact of this pandemic on cancer diagnosis and treatment is truly terrifying. Dont forget to see your doctors if you need to!" wrote Dr. Brooke Vandermolen (@theobgynmum), an NHS doctor currently working and training as a Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London.
"So true! Regular screenings helped my mom find her cancer when it was treatable 20 years ago! Thanks for the reminder!" another supporter said, while yet another commented, "Cervical cancer survivor/warrior here! Get your PAPS!!!"
