2. They boost your ego, and do not talk you down.
3. They never compare you to someone else.
4. They are always ready to help.

6. They are always with you through thick and thin.
7. They share their resources with you, no matter how small. That is not to say you should turn to a parasite.
8. They do not get jealous when you make progress.
