Farting, littering, queue-cutting and soiling public toilets are just some of the bad habits this northernmost island hopes to curb.

To this end, Hokkaido, a Japanese island which welcomes millions of visitors each year to its hot springs and ski resorts has released a tourist guide that aims to curb some bad behaviour it's noticed from visitors.
Last August, an original version of the guide which was printed only in Chinese was released.
It however received wide spread criticism for being "condescending", and a revised version was published in March in both English and Chinese.
