Nestled at the foot of the Wetterstein mountains in a nature reserve, Schloss Elmau currently plays host to some of the most important people in the world - the G7 leaders which includes leaders of Germany, Canada, France, Italy, Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Our very own President Muhammadu Buhari is also attending this year's summit as a guest.

Boasting 123 rooms and suites, as well as a concert hall and several restaurants, Schloss Ekamu is a 100-year-old castle which was originally built as a place for artists but turned to a high-end, secluded resort.

It has however maintained its tradition of inviting artistes over through the years, cellist Sol Gabetta, clarinettist Sabine Meyer, and conductor Gidon Kremer appear regularly, while legendary musicians as violinist Yehudi Menuhin, soprano Barbara Hendricks, and pianist Mitsuko Uchida have headlined evening concerts.
