Lagos state governor, Akinwumi Ambode has vowed to explore the tourism potential that exists within the state.

He said a summit would soon be convened with stakeholders in the sector to explore the potentials that abound in the state.

Governor Ambode made this known while speaking at an interactive session with journalists at the Banquet Hall of the Lagos House where he revealed that his administration would make efforts to grow the tourism potentials of the state.
Speaking on the expansion projects to make the state more tourism and commerce friendly, he said very soon there will be an International Airport in Epe, an Export Processing Zone and a Deep Seaport both in Lekki.
He added that once the 10-lane Lagos-Badagry Expressway is completed, the neighbourhood and the axis would be opened up as a business hub for the whole sub region.
