Following the restitution of a stolen painting, the Gustav Klimt's portrait is expected to bring in £18m at its auction scheduled for this month.

A restituted portrait by Gustav Klimt is expected to fetch £18m at auction scheduled to hold this June.

The portrait which was painted in 1902, pictures a 19-year-old Gertrud Loew and was left behind when Loew flee Vienna for the US in 1939.
Following the departure of Loew, the portrait was acquired by film-maker, Gustav Ucicky.
After the death of Ucicky, his property were willed to his widow who established the Klimt Foundation in 2013, and reached an agreement with Loew's family in 2014 over portrait's ownership and of course, sale.
The painting which is scheduled to sell at Sotheby's in London on June 24 has been described by an online catalogue as "an extraordinarily beautiful and captivating work from a crucial period in the artist's career".
