How to make the Metrople cocktail

With a fine mix of cognac, dry vermouth and bitters, it doesn't get any more suave than this drink.

If there ever was a drink for the league of gentlemen, it would be the Metrople cocktail.

What you need:

  • 1 1/2 cups ice
  • 1 1/2 fluid ounces cognac
  • 1 1/2 fluid ounces dry vermouth
  • 2 dashes bitters
  • 1 maraschino cherry, for garnish

Directions:

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in cognac and vermouth, then shake in bitters. Stir well, strain into a chilled glass, and garnish with a cherry.
