1. Dubai

Yes! Dubai has become another Paris for Nigerians. You mustn’t be rich to explore the profound traditions of the city and its grand futuristic revelation.

You could go shopping in some of the most beautiful shopping malls in the world (watch out for sales), take a stroll on the scenic beaches, explore the city and discover its stunning attractions.

2. Kenya

The country’s largest city, Nairobi, offers a mixed bag of historical museums, tribal exhibitions, Kenyan street food, local markets, modern shopping malls, international and local restaurants.

Go see the ‘big five’ (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhinoceros and elephant) to make your trip worthwhile.

3. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Expect great weather with slight rain if you travel to Malaysia in July, which is a popular yet affordable time to visit the country since it will be right after Ramadan. Their food is exceptional, the city life is amazing and flights can be found for less than N200,000 if you book early and nice accommodations can be found for less than N20,000 a night.

Experience the horse-cart drivers for the first time in Dakar. Dakar has also become a favourite holiday destination for most Nigerians.

5. Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso is a favourite place for those in love with arts and crafts.

If you go in October, you could get to witness International Art and Craft Fair, Ouagadougou (SIAO) one of Africa’s most important trade shows for art and handicrafts which comes up in October.

While there, try visiting Arli National park and Bobo Dioulasso, and make sure to enjoy the nightlife of the charming small town.
