Lanre Da Silva Ajayi's Collection for Vlisco 170th Anniversary

Vlisco celebrated its 170th anniversary recently and flew top designers including Lanre Da Silva Ajayi and Ejiro Amos Tafiri to Netherlands.

Lanre Da Silva Ajayi who was one of the few designers to showcase was also one of the face for the brand's 170th anniversary campaign joining other women including Grammy Award winning Angelique Kidjo for the campaign.

The celebration which included a fashion show on September 18th 2016 saw the LDA showcasing exquisite designs using Vlisco fabric. The 10-piece collection featured a mix of embellishment using Swarovski, metallic details, velvets and chiffon mix on dresses, skirts, tops and more.

The designer emphasized hi-lo/asymmetric cuts, power puff sleeves, old shoulder, tiered hem, drop waist and tapered hem details on the looks featured on the runway at the Vlisco’s headquarters in Helmond, Netherland.
