These 5 tips will keep you looking young, refreshed, and healthy.
- 1. Beauty sleep
Nothing beats a well-rested skin. Try to get as much rest as you can afford. Put up a structure that works like a nanny, or even your partner taking some overnight feeds so you can get some rest as well. Trust me, your skin will thank you for it.
- 2. Drink enough water
I know. It sounds cliche, but still, we don't drink enough water. Have your bottle close to you always so you can always have a sip. Did you know? Drinking enough water aids lactation. Experts say you need up to 2 liters of water daily. Get drinking! :)
- 3. Cleanse
Cleansing your skin allows your pores to breathe. Wash your face first thing in the morning when you wake up and at night before bedtime. Then cleanse with a cleanser. No, cleaning with wipes isn't the same thing! You can also rub on raw honey if you don't have a cleanser at home. You can also make your own face mask at home with Avocado, egg white, or turmeric.
- 4. Moisturize
Moisturizing routine is a basic must for everyone. Not only to rid your skin of impurities, pollution, and general daily grime but also to keep skin cells turning over and hydrated.
- 5. Exfoliate
Using a clean brush or your favorite scrub, move in small, gentle, circular strokes around your face to remove dead skin. Rinse with lukewarm water so your freshly exfoliated face isn't irritated by hot water. This is best done in the morning. Moisturize after. Remember, go gentle so you don't ruin your skin.
