Idara Inokon; winner Miss Nigeria USA 2017

The winner emerged at the 3rd annual finale of the pageant held on Saturday, 12th of August in New York.

The pageant kicked off on Wednesday August 9th through August 12th, 2017 with various activities including a visit to Northside Senior home where the contestant fed, cleaned up and danced with senior citizens, a workshop on life after the crown and a preliminary contests on platform presentation at the MTV studios were also part of events lined up for the week.

The Finale held on August 12th at the Schomburg Theater, New York had Designer and Beyonce's stylist TY Hunter who was joined by ex beauty queen Millen Magese, Miss Nigeria USA 2015 1st Runner up; Wura Kolawole, Isaac Boaten, Efemena Adabamu and Asumoh Enyiema as judges for the annual event.

The seventeen finalists representing their different states competed in categories including Swim wear, Traditional Outfit and Evening wear amongst stage questions and other bits.

Founder of Miss Nigeria USA; Joy Ikedinma Fakhoury started the pageant to promote and appreciate young beautiful Nigerian women in America. Her goal is to help the girls set a goal and work on achieving the goal.

Special Guest including Celebrity hairstylist to Beyonce, Nicki Minaj and Mary J blige; Neal Farinah, Nigeria singer Praiz, MBGN Tourism Chinyere Adogu and more were in attendance.
