On October 27, 2021, Nigerian singer, Buju, his team and EMPIRE held a release party for his sophomore EP, Sorry I'm Late.

The event, which held at Ultima Studios in Lekki, Lagos was attended by The Cavemen, Bizzle Osikoya, Asa Asika and more. Also in attendance were Ezegozie Eze and Titilope Adesanya of EMPIRE. The event was organized by Tobi Mohammed of Top Boy in conjunction with Stephanie Okocha of Panda.

The MC on the night was Tolu Daniel, the head of music at Ejoya. Around 9 pm, the event proceeded with customary hype from the MC, who engaged with a packed Ultima Studios for two straight hours. He also won the night with some throwback Afrobeats records.

Around 11 pm, Buju stepped on stage in all black: a suit and shoes. He performed an acoustic version of 'Outside' and then Wizkid's 'Mood' before briefly exiting the stage. He returned a few minutes later with more fire and thrilled the crowd to songs from his sophomore EP.
