Aristokrat records rapper Ozone makes a statement of his capabilities as one of the rappers doing it right, narrating how he would be sorely missed when he leaves the high flying city of Lagos, believed to be a figurative expression of him moving on to the next level.
‘Last night in Lagos’ track spells out clearly Ozone’s intentions and convictions, as he bids settling for less goodbye.
In 'Days go by', he spits, aiming to make up for lost grounds as it concerns his goals. “Going all the way up for all the years I’ve been down,” Ozone raps.
He lets in the listener into emotional side, the turns and twists regrets and drama experienced with a love interest, who’s now an ex. This he expresses in ‘Don’t let go’.
‘25 blunts’ and ‘Night and day’ just makes you forget yourself in the lovely production and its melody.
Ozone is all about his journey thus far and its intricacies in this EP. The short and sweet duration of the EP is appealing in many ways, and makes you wonder what he has in store next.
This is a beautifully teasing body of work EP that well introduces a first time listener of Ozone to his brand of music and also gives the familiar folks another welcome taste of what the Aristokrat rapper is capable of offering.
"Last Night in Lagos" EP is dope stuff.
