Monalisa Chinda, Malcom Benson star in new thriller

The movie exposes the gangs' culture and its impact on young people especially those being used for criminal activities often with fatal consequences.

Monalisa plays the role of Police Commander, Tracy Caparro in the thriller that also stars a mixture of white and black British and African acts like Steve McTigue, Paul Van Beaumont, Malcolm A Benson, Grace Holley, Amanda Lara Kay, Aida Emeliyanova and Lucien Morgan.

Directed by the Cannes Certified Award winning Director, Malcolm A Benson, Return of the Don tells the story of a police man, DC Mills sojourn in keeping the two gang leaders at bay following the return of the new gang leader already, who has turned the City into a land of massacre.

Speaking on the movie, Malcom Benson said: "The movie made a historic success at the BFI IMAX First Official release by going straight to number 23 in the overall UK Box Office chart having sold out its entire tickets before the event.

Continuing, he said: "So far, I can tell you that the movie has been nominated and also won multiple International Film Festival Awards including the Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival Award, Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Award, Depth of Field International Film Festival Awards, Canada International Film Festival, Accolade International Film Festival, London Independent Film Festival and Festival International Du Film De Cannes.The New World Cinema screened Return of The Don at the Marche Du Film in Cannes Film Festival in May 2016."

Return of the Don further showcases the ethnic minority group in charge and in top police ranks in a police culture often dominated by white men while highlighting black women in power.
