Revival series cancelled at NBC

There won't be a second season to the revival event series "Heroes Reborn."

 

"Heroes Reborn," a revival series to the famous "Heroes" has been cancelled at NBC.

According to NBC's entertainment chairman, Robert Greenblatt, the network is done with Heroes, unless the show's creator Tim Kring, decides that he has more chapters to tell.

“As far as I know there are no more incarnations of Heroes coming. That was always the plan, unless Tim woke up one day and said, 'Oh, I have another chapter to tell," he said.

The series stars Cristine Rose (Angela Petrelli), Jack Coleman (who played the suspicious Noah Bennett), Masi Oka (who played space-time manipulator Hiro Nakamura in original 'Heroes'), Jimmy Jean-Louis as The Haitian and Greg Grunberg as the telepathic detective Matt Parkman.

The show also stars Zachary Levi, Ryan Guzman, Robbie Kay, Danika Yarosh, Judith Shekoni, Kiki Sukezane, Henry Zebrowski and Gatlin Green.

"The saga behind the 2006 breakout series "Heroes" will continue this fall as creator Tim Kring returns to the fold and develops new layers to his original superhero concept.

This highly anticipated 13-episode event series will reconnect with the basic elements of the show’s first season, where ordinary people were waking up to the fact that they had extraordinary abilities."

The series premiered in September to 6.1 million total viewers and a 2.0 demo rating. It's finale episode is scheduled to air on Thursday, January  21.
