Nick Pileggi, producer and screenwriter, who wrote the hit Mafian movie Good Fellas has shared his experience with the payment of some of the characters of the movie.

He also revealed that the actor who played Morrie, with the wig commercial, wasn’t a real actor either, but De Niro’s landlord, Chuck Low.
Speaking at the movie's introduction at Film Forum on West Houston on Tuesday night, June 23, 2015 during its 25th anniversary, Pileggi said some actors who played gangsters behind Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci declined a check in the mail and demanded cash.
When Warner Bros. asked them to provide Social Security numbers, they couldn't give correct digits, thus
'They were paid out of petty cash,' Pileggi said.
