Titled "The Spoils of War," the episode ended with Jaime Lannister's uncertain fate. Jaime made a bold run at Daenerys while she was trying to pull out the sword from her injured dragon.

The episode ended on a cliffhanger as Jaime was pushed into the water by Bronn as the angry dragon unleashed fire.

Speaking to EW, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who plays Jaime spoke about the epic scene and his fate.

“Even though Daenerys is the hero and the Lannisters are the villains, being burned alive is not great,” he told EW.

“It’s a terrifying thing when this monster flamethrower comes along and incinerates thousands and thousands of men who are just doing their job.”

On why Jaime decided to attack a grounded Drogon, the actor said, “Jaime is such an idiot that he thinks for a second, ‘If I can do this, I can win the whole thing in a Hail Mary."

Speaking to New York Times about the fate of his character, the actor said, "It seems impossible to survive that. Luckily, he’s not wearing the Kingsguard armor, which is made of brass.

"But oh my God, don’t get me started on the water! We had a full day of going to the bottom, and that was not nice. I got a little sick, after.

"You have to go down, you have to equalize the pressure, and I’m not very good at that. It was just a tough, tough day."

Earlier, EW had asked Coster-Waldau about his incestuous relationship with his twin sister Cersei, the actor simply said,

“It’s not going to end well for Jaime Lannister, I can’t imagine.”

As expected, the cliffhanger had viewers reacting on social media.
