On signing up for the competition:

I signed up for The Voice because I respect the show. Even before it got to Nigeria, it was a show I respected. Hearing The Voice was coming to Nigeria was a big stepping stone for me.

On thinking he would win the show:

I signed up with the mindset to learn, and just grow along. So it wasn't just about winning for me, it was about growing.

On being on Live TV:

I had so many fears like 'ah, something could go wrong, and if something goes wrong, it's gonna be on the Internet.' I had so many fears, but then when the music sets in, it's all about to entertain and have fun at the end of the day.

The singer also spoke on having Timi Dakolo as his judge, what he loved about show, which of his performances stood out for him, and his most dramatic experience on show.

Dewe was one of the top eight finalists on the show, alongside Brenda, Nonso, Cornel, Chike, Arese, Viveyeen and Patrick.

Dewe performed a rendition of ‘Take Me to Church' by Hozier, which got him three turns, and landed him on Team Waje. 

Dewe was stolen by Timi after his battle against Michael.
