"Piracy is more like terrorism" [Video]

Nigerian filmmaker, Dayo Amusa, is of the opinion that piracy is more like terrorism, and offenders should be sentenced to 5 to 10years in prison, or asked to pay huge sum of money.

Over the years, piracy has become undefinedto the growth of the entertainment industry.

While there have been undefined aimed at tackling the menace, filmmaker Dayo Amusa is of the opinion that the government can support the industry by creating laws and policies that back up issues of piracy.

The actress spoke on the issue in a recent interview with Pulse Nigeria;

"We are growing, we are improving. First and foremost, we should eradicate piracy," she said.

"The issue of piracy in Nigeria of today, both in the music and movie industry, I'm sure even the comedians would have something to say about it,  is really eating everybody up."

Speaking on how the government can help, the actress said;

"The government can support us, maybe by creating a law or policy backing up the issue of piracy."

"For example, if you are caught pirating any content, you could be asked to pay a huge sum of money, or  given five to ten years imprisonment, because as far as I'm concerned, Piracy is more like terrorism."
