Actor receives honorary Doctorate in Egypt

Legendary Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan, is a force to reckon with, not just in India, but also in Africa.

Iconic Bollywood actor, Amitabh Bachchan, was away in Egypt for three days where he received an honorary Doctorate from the Egyptian Academy of Arts.

The actor received the reward for his memorable contribution to Indian cinema. while receiving the reward, the actor said, “Culture is the soft power of the state and should be used to convert enemies into friends.”

“Egypt and Egyptian people have always been my dearest friends and shall continue to be so for my entire life time.” - He added.

Amitabh took to his twitter to tweet about the event;

” Prestigious Academy of Art in Cairo, decorates me a Hon Doctorate .. humbled and honoured. First for India !!”  - he tweeted.
