Movie star, Rita Dominic is not just an amazing actress but a remarkable film producer and on the 'La Femme Anjola' project, she wears both hats. In the film, the actress plays the sultry Anjola, a married nightingale who falls in love with a young stockbroker.

Describing her character, Dominic shared: “For me, I like a character that scares me and she did that when I read the script. I connected with it on a very deep level. It was like I was lending my body to this Anjola woman to use as a vessel to tell the world her story.”

If you remember the maiden edition of The Voice Nigeria, then Nonso Bassey can be no stranger to you. The dashing singer, however, explored his acting skill right after the show with shows like 'Battleground'.

Interestingly, the singer cum actor made his big screen debut in 'La Femme Anjola' after Okwo discovered him by chance on Twitter. A bonus? He and his character share an avid love for music in common.

Nonso Bassey undoubtedly gave his all to his character in 'La Femme Anjola', so much that when an offer came for him to be nude for a scene, he didn't ask questions. In an interview with Pulse, the actor revealed that while it was his first time going nude for a role, he did not feel uncomfortable.

He did get a role but as a supporting character. The star actor who played the lead role in Okwo's 2012 hit movie 'The Meeting', revealed in a recent interview that when the filmmaker first shared the script with him, he mentally prepared to play Dejaré.

"Although I knew the role of Dejaré wasn't meant for me, I still mentally prepared for it. Why? Well, as an actor I am jealous of juicy roles. I secretly worked on it. I read about stockbrokers and tried to project myself into the lifestyle of Dejaré, with the lines. You just never know”, Jacobs said

'The Meeting' is Okwo's 2012 comedy drama that became a fan favourite. Although quite different in terms of its genre and tone, 'La Femme Anjola' and 'The Meeting' have quite a lot in common; both were written by Tunde Babalola, produced by Rita Dominic, and stars Rita Dominic and Femi Jacobs.
