Within the last year Toyin Aimakhu has suffered a broken marriage and a disastrous relationship that led to bad PR for her. In an interview with Fashion Buzz TV, Toyin Aimakhu spoke about whether she will be getting married again.

“I don't think so.I think I have trauma. I am even scared right now. All I need now is God and the holy spirit to help me. The truth is I'm scared.I don't think I can even love.I am over it but I can't be healed. There's no point lying. If I see a good white man, well. I know whatever God wants. He always wanted me to be his servant and I rejected. But now, I'm doing all he wants” she said.

It’s pretty much understandable why Toyin Aimakhu is taking this stance. Having two relationships crash in such a public manner can leave many people scarred. Funny enough, Toyin Aimakhu is echoing the prevailing sentiment of this generation when it comes to love.

These days the cool thing to say is “I’m emotionally damaged” or “I have trust issues” when it comes to affairs of the heart. Well there is no judging here. Heartbreaks and splits are very painful and not many can recover from them. Toyin Aimakhu also has the mindset.

Further in the interview Toyin Aimakhu also said “Maybe I dated because I wanted to get over my ex-husband, ” This is popularly known as a rebound and rebounds don’t last long. They are not the real deal.

Has Toyin Aimakhu closed her heart on love? I don’t think so. She is still reeling from the pain of two bitter relationships. Time heals everything or at most dulls the pain. In a couple of years we might see the lovely actress in another relationship.

The step she has taken is the best for her. She has left the spotlight and is overseas where there won’t be too much attention on her. Within this period Toyin Aimakhu should get her priority together and come back with a bang. Till then, let time heal her heart.
