Dr. Oz advice Rob Kardashian

Dr. Mehmet Oz has advised Rob Kardashian to work on his self-esteem before he could work on his weight! His advice comes few weeks after the reality star was recently hospitalized and diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

"I feel badly that Rob Kardashian was rushed to the emergency room with complications from diabetes," the medical professional, 55, tells Us magazine on Wednesday, January 6.

"It can be life threatening.… A lot of groups think, 'Oh, it's just a little bit of sugar in my blood.' No, it's not. It's deadly. It’s like having broken pieces of glass shard inside your body, scraping up the delicate lining of the arteries. It’s devastating, catastrophic, if you don’t address it."

The TV personality, who just launched his latest program, 'The Day Off Diet', explains that the root of Kardashian's issue is far more psychological than health-related.

"A few years ago, I did a show with , another celebrity that I adore," he says. "[I got] 100 people in my studio who have all lost 100 pounds, and [asked] them all how they did it… I was going to get all 100 answers, and I was going to have the perfect library of how you actually lose weight. Except, they didn’t have 100 different answers. They had one: ."

He went on to explain how changing their perspective also changed their bodies. "They all realized that when they appreciated that they were worth it, losing the weight became easy. When your best friend is doing something to themselves that hurts them, you tell them. So, imagine that someone that you love dearly is putting in their mouth something that they shouldn’t put in their mouth, and that because of that they are becoming morbidly obese. What do you tell them? Whatever you tell that person, you tell yourself. And that’s my advice to Rob."
