Ukraine has come under serious attack by Russia's army over the last 48 hours.
In a post shared via her Instagram Stories on Thursday, February 24, 2022, the reality TV star wondered why people always wait for the last minute before they act.
"Why do people always wait for last-minute before running to safety. Russia being threatening Ukraine for weeks now and most foreigners didn't think it's wise to go back to their countries," she wrote.
"Everywhere is hot in Ukraine right now and they are running to the airport and train stations to do what exactly, please?"
"I feel like it's good to take the necessary steps while you still can than waiting till the dying minute before realising you need to move. It's common sense."
Meanwhile, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Ukraine chapter, has written a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari requesting for the immediate evacuation of Nigerian students currently trapped in the country.
Reacting to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, the Nigerian Embassy in Ukraine issued a fresh travel advisory urging Nigerian nationals resident in the country to remain calm, but also be very vigilant and be conscious of their personal security.
In the early hours of Thursday, February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation in Ukraine. On Thursday morning, Russia launched a military operation after the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk requested assistance in countering the aggression of the Ukrainian government forces.
The Russian Defence Ministry said the operation was targeting the military infrastructure of Ukraine, and the civilian population was not in danger.
