Government ready to conduct competency test for teachers
Kogi state government has sent delegates to Kaduna state to study the process and procedure used in conducting competency test.
The Kogi state government has sent delegates to Kaduna state to study the process and procedure used in conducting competency test conducted for teachers in Kaduna.
Kogi state commissioner for education, Hon. J.S Tolorunleke who led the delegates commended Governor Nasir Elrufai for his political will to implement educational reform in the state.
The Director-General on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Kingsley Fanwo while speaking to journalists said performance of Kogi state in public examination would improve if competent teachers are given opportunity to teach in public school,
Teachers Competency test has caused disagreement between the government and the state government in Kaduna as labour unions threaten to paralyse education sector if the 21,780 teachers sacked for failing competency test are not recallled.
