According to reports, no less than 30 facilities were shut in areas including Ketu, Ikorodu, Ibeju-Lekki, Victoria Island and Surulere.

Some of the religious houses shut down were Rain of Power and Miracles Ministry Church, Lekki,  Christ Apostolic Church, Lekki and Olorunkemi Mosque, Ketu.

LASEPA's Director of Enforcement, Kayode Bello, speaking on behalf of the agency said the religious houses were contacted several times in the last one year over alleged air and noise pollution.

However, officials of the various places of worship had refused to comply with LASEPA's instructions.
